Scholarships for those with SCI

Current statistics suggest that fewer than 35% of people living with a spinal cord injury are able to gain employment. With the assistance of our corporate partners and generous donors, our aim is to change this statistic for the better.

For over twelve years ParaQuad has been providing scholarships to help those with SCI gain new skills needed to improve their employment opportunities and thus enjoy independence. This has been possible thanks to the generous support of the Australian Music Industry's Golden Stave Foundation, NRMA and other donors…

ParaQuad NSW is proud to announce ParaQuad NSW Scholarships for 2010. The available Scholarships are:
1) The ParaQuad NSW Scholarships, established through a gift from a generous ParaQuad donor,
&
2) The ParaQuad NSW – Golden Stave Foundation Scholarships,  established through the generosity of The Golden Stave Foundation

ParaQuad is now accepting applications for the 2010 Scholarships for people with a spinal cord injury residing in NSW/ACT.
The intent of the scholarship program is to award potential applicants attending school, college or pursuing post-secondary trade, technical, or vocational training, an amount of up to $5,000 each as scholarships.

The scholarships are aimed at easing the financial burden of obtaining the necessary education to secure future employment and independence. This program is an opportunity to make a positive difference for young Australians living with a spinal cord injury as well as their families.

Completed scholarship application forms must be received at ParaQuad by Thursday, 25 February 2010.

Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarship applications usually open around November each year for the following year. Visit our website then, or email us at scholarships@paraquad.org.au to be added to our mailing list.  We can then notify you when applications open.
