Specialist training for Community Health


For Occupational Therapists;

“Spinal Cord Injury: Enabling Independence” is an overview workshop and covers

Anatomy of the spinal cord
Functional outcomes anticipated for spinal cord injury level
The impact of spinal cord injury on occupational performance
The effects of spinal cord injury on body functions
The role of OT in facilitating people with a spinal cord injury to live independently and safely in the community (including equipment prescription,home modification, upper limb overuse syndrome and skin integrity)

The workshop will be run in Newington on Tuesday 11th March 2008.

A follow-up workshop ‘Assessment and Prescription of Commodes for people with spinal cord injury’ will be conducted on Tuesday 13th May 2008 in Newington.

For Registered Nurses;

ParaQuad is offering in-service training for Registered Nurses on health issues for adults with an acquired spinal cord injury.

Our customised approach allows us to work with you to consider the best time and place for the training and ensure that the learning outcomes are geared towards your specific needs.
